Your Sunday Selection W/E 4/11/18

November already! What an insanely quick month! The Christmas countdown is on, though it’s definitely still too early for Christmas tunes, I’m just not ready for that yet.

Articles of the week

This made me laugh!

Conditioning circuit of the week

A short, but wonderfully effective conditioning circuit today. You can do this as a one-off finisher a the end of your strength session, or multiple rounds as a standalone session if you’re short of time.

KB swing x20s, 10 sec rest/ transition

DB floor press x 20s, 10 sec rest/ transition

Goblet position rev lunges x 20s, 10 sec rest/ transition

Bentover DB rows x 20s.

If you’re going for a stand alone session with this, I’d suggest 4-8 rounds with 1-2 minutes between each. 8 rounds would take a max of 30 minutes if you use 2 minutes rest times between each round.

Book of the week

I’ve become a convert to journalling over the last 12 months, it’s helped me become more focused and productive, and it’s kept me more or less on track since Katie came along 6 months ago. I’ve tried a couple of different options, from a plain notebook to various different layouts, and the one I’ve come to enjoy most is the Self Journal from Best Self Co.

I really like the simple layout and it helps me make the most of my days. And to help you out, I’ve managed to get a 15% discount code to be used on your first order if you would like to try it out.

Just use the code DBPT at the checkout!

Notable Quote

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”

– Amelia Earhart

Have an awesome Sunday.
